Peoples and bloggers use various meta-tags which are located in the header of our websites, and that are being,  in the same time, invisible to users visiting in the sites. These tags are for only one purposes that is to include information about the pages such as author name, date, keywords, description, title and so others.

But, here our focus is only one , that is adding meta description for our blogger.  This description will appear as a fragment in the search results. It also works as description while sharing to Google+, facebook and other sites. A good and precised description will help you to get more clicks or visitors. We are working on the blogger platform, so open your blogger dashboard.

Steps To Add Meta-description in Blogger 

Firstly, go to your blogger dashboard and navigate to Settings>Search Preferences>Meta Tags>Description

Then, Click on the "Yes" box to enable the meta description and finally click on the "Save Changes" button.

Adding Meta Description to Individual Posts

Now, we will discuss on adding meta description to the individual posts. To do this simply edit the Post to which you want to add the meta description then, navigate to search preferences in the right column. Then add the search description (meta description) with post friendly words. Then click on Update.

This is all about adding meta description on your posts and blogger through the simple settings. Now if these methods didn't worked (rarely gets failed) , then you have to touch a little of the templates HTML . For this navigate to Templates>Edit HTML then insert the codes below before  <b:skin><!CDATA[ .
