Japan Is Building the Fastest Computer of All Times |
According to the media, It has been announced that The country will spend 19.5 billion yen (£139 million0 on the computer, which should make around 120 Quadrillion calculations per second. Which is scientifically called 120 petaflops.
To keep up with China and South Korea , currently the home of the best-performing machines in the world is the governmental policy of Japan.
With the 120 Quadrillion calculation per second , Japans Supercomputer will be ahead of China's Sunway Taihulight, Ehichis capable of 93 Quadrillion calculations per second.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe |
For Japan to win in the sector of artificial Intelligence, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe wants Companies and Politicians to work more easily.
The computer is being built to mimic the human neural pathways, which should advance "deep learning' technology that works off algorithm.
Building these supercomputers isn’t just about the international prestige, of course; this supercomputer is a big part of the Japanese government’s plan to make the country a world leader in the area of technology once again.
Japan's current supercomputer is capable of 14 petaflops , so building a machine capable of 130 petaflops will be a good jump in the field of technology and will be an impressive progress to compete with the top 5's in the world.
Nice and informative
